NASCAR Nationwide Race (Spoiler)

I have to wonder if NASCAR is bullshit or a waste of time. I like the concept of auto racing and will not argue whether it is a sport or not. But the end of this race was bullshit. With 5 laps to go there was an 11 car wreck behind the top 6 cars. They start with a "green, white checker."

The race ended with a wreck across the finish line. The front end of one car was completely ripped off. It broke through the fence onto the spectator side of the fence and lit on fire. So far it looks like there are no injuries.

Endings like this bring up the question of whether NASCAR is a competition or just entertainment like wrestling.

on a Coyotes-Oilers game ESPN board. Said that the "engine was in the crowd".

Sounds like a scary wreck.

But other stuff was flying too. I think a tire hit the box that the flag man is in. I don't know where it ended up.

Seems like the typical "nose-bleed" seats would give you the best vantage point of the entire track and be the most expensive. Also the safest.

Just curious.
