Gov. Hickenlooper settles bet with Maryland

Gov. John Hickenlooper grilled lamb chops today in advance of mailing a special package to Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley to settle a friendly bet over last weekend’s football game. In that package are 12 lamb chops from the Triple M Bar Ranch in Manzanola.

“This was one of the toughest defeats I’ve ever watched, but what a game! And you do learn more from defeat than you do victory,” Hickenlooper said. “Even if you have the best quarterback and the best coach in football, and we do, nobody can be perfect every time out. Our disappointment aside, we are proud of the Denver Broncos and happy to settle our bet with Gov. O’Malley with some of the best lamb chops on earth.”

The governor was joined today by Triple M Bar Ranch ranch owners David and Mary Miller. Their ranch headquarters sits on Buckeye Hill in Crowley County, overlooking the Arkansas River Valley. http://1.usa.gov/Wk512z
