raised in Northern Ohio and live in Northern California -- I have loyalties with teams from both areas. Unlike El Supremo, I display only one avatar at a time. Look for the lovely Naomi Klein soon.

Yeah, IMO it's a mistake to give any coach/executive in the NFL too much power or control.

The Bengals were new to the state in the late sixties with not a lot of following. The Browns were from Cleveland (nuff said). Anyone who lives in Ohio cannot root for a Michigan team and the Steelers are just hated in Ohio. So I became a Cowboys fan!! And where do I move to?? The heart of NY Giants territory for 20 years (SW CT) and DeadSkin territory for 10 years. No FUCKING way I move anywhere near Philadelphia!!

Cleveland (already expained). And the Pirates were the first team to be fully integrated and start nine minorities!

And he is a Michigan fan. Of course Toledo was supposed to be part of Michigan but Ohio insisted it was theirs and wouldn't ratify Michigan's statehood until we gave it back. So there are lots of M fans there.
