Frank Gore blows up Lance Briggs..

In his first career start, Colin Kaepernick out-dueled Jason Campbell and it was not even close. Kaepernick had 243 yards and two touchdowns to Campbell's 107 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions. The usually sticky-fingered Bears defense forced zero turnovers and the offense was therefore the only show in town—not a good show.

Really, all you need to know about the game is this Frank Gore block on Lance Briggs, which allowed Kaepernick to find Vernon Davis midway through the first quarter to give San Francisco a 10-0 lead. They could have stopped right then.

Putting him flat on his back is how you take care of a LB coming after your QB. Gore is one of the best blocking backs in football..but the 49ers were fired up last night ready to protect Kaep in his first ever NFL start. The Bears ran into a buzz saw....

I'm not a fan of either team, but he really sucked.

They even had Chilo Rachal starting who lost his job in SF. They're now 2nd in the NFL in sacks allowed..after giving up 6 last night, Aldon Smith 5.5 all by himself, to a 49er team that hadn't been having as much success pressuring the QB as last year.

Bears guard Chilo Rachal left the Bears on Wednesday after learning that he was being replaced as the starting left guard by Chris Spencer.

His absence from the team didn’t last very long. Vaughn McClure of the Chicago Tribune reports that Rachal was at the Bears facility on Thursday morning. McClure also reports, via a source, that Rachal’s emotional state is “very bad.” McClure reported Wednesday that Rachal became extremely upset after being told of his demotion.

The Bears, who said only that the guard left the team for personal reasons, placed Rachal on the reserve/left squad list. McClure writes that it is unkown whether or not he’ll be immediately reinstated to the roster. The team promoted offensive lineman James Brown from the practice squad to take Rachal’s place on the active roster.

At least for a Bears fan. They looked horrible. I know the 49ers are good, but no team has ever been as phycially dominating as the Bears made them look last night.

The wailing here in Chicago is pretty loud today.
