If anyone is watching the NLCS, then you saw the dirty slide Matt Holliday made into Scutaro at 2nd base in the first inning. Well, in the 4th, bases loaded, Scutaro came up and connected with an errant pitch and hit a solid single to left field which Holliday let roll between his legs, thereby clearing the bases and allowing the Giants to take a four run lead instead of a two or three run lead. Maybe next time Holliday slides into 2nd base, he'll try to keep it clean.

(56,177 posts)why was he going so fast and clearly aiming for the legs in the first place?
Is Holliday known for dirty play?

(31,186 posts)otherwise he would wouldn't have hit Scutaro with such force and so high up. An error of judgment, apparently, that he says he regrets. I don't think he's necessarily a dirty player, but if it happens again he'll sure be labeled as one.

He hopes to play in Game 3.
