Former NFL star Terrell Owens is apparently looking for an entry point back into the league and is now calling on the New York Jets to give him a chance. The former Pro-Bowl wide-receiver took to Twitter during the Jets’ Monday night loss to the Houston Texans to make another plea, saying he is “ready willing & able!”

When asked to gauge the Jets’ interest in Owens, head coach Rex Ryan said Tuesday morning that he won’t rule anything out especially given the unknowns with injuries that plagued the team this season, according to Marc Raimondi of The New York Post:

“You never say never to anything. We’ll look at all options like we always do,” Ryan said. “You’re going to look at everything. We don’t know the severity of injuries or anything else right now. I can say it’s been a definitive no for T.O. and anybody else that’s not on our team.”

The Jets lost Santonio Holmes for the season after a Week 4 foot injury during a game against the San Francisco 49ers. The team is also without cornerback Darrelle Revis, who is out for the season after suffering a torn ligament in a Week 3 game against the Miami Dolphins. Ryan said that in the wake of the injury the team would look to build upon its younger, faster receivers.
