Let's be honest, there's nothing better in sports than an elimination game in baseball.

I'm listening to the Reds-Giants game on the radio at work and I'm entralled and I have no horse in this fight. Every game now is an elimination, do-or-die game and I'll try to watch or listen to every single one of them.

Bud Selig may be a colossal douchnozzle, but he's got the best postseason in all of sports.

And another one on tap tonight.

R.I.P. Reds. What a colossal choke job, to go up 2-0 and then lose the last three at home.

Losing your ace and having your best hitter lame puts any team at a disadvantage. Even with those deficiencies, the Reds nearly played the Giants evenly. I think the real difference in this game was Bruce Boche -- he out-managed Dusty Baker.

But they are addicting...but mainly I'm only watching/listening/following in hopes some team can knock off Satan.

Satan is so seventeenth century.

What twentieth century person needs Satan, anyway. We had Hitler, Stalin, Mao, Ceausescu, Saddam, Idi Amin . . . .

with winning baseball in DC. What is really funny is listening to the local NPR announcers try and talk about baseball!

I hate 5 game series, especially in a format that later has 7-game series.

One of the best decisions the NBA ever made was going from 5 to 7 for first round match-ups.

drop the dumb wildcard playoff game and the second wildcard, adopt a seven-game division series (same as the league and world series), dump the DH, end interleague play, and kick Bud Selig's ass out of baseball.
