Buster Posey wins NL batting title...

Posey’s .336 average led all qualified hitters in both leagues.
------
It’s the first batting title won by an NL catcher since 1942, when Oakland native Ernie Lombardi hit .330 for the Boston Braves. The only other catcher to win a batting title since then is the Twins’ Joe Mauer, who did it twice.
------
Posey also led the NL with a .408 on-base percentage. Not bad for someone who could barely walk at this time last year.

“To come off an injury, a devastating injury like he had, and not only have a good year but to win a batting title -- it’s truly amazing to me,” Bochy said. “I couldn’t be happier for him not just coming back but being the force that he is. Now that he’s won the batting title, I have to think he’s the MVP.”

Buster should win the MVP. They should give him the Comeback Player of the Year. Posey is the man...Posey is another Johnny Bench..and barring injury, you'll see his name in Cooperstown someday too..

you know I'm very superstitious when it comes to the Giants. Posey may have his time, but Will Clark looked like a shoe in for the HoF too, you never know. Impossible to deny Buster doesn't deserve every award he may pick up for this season . It's been a great comeback ,and Bochy keeping him fresh and out of the way of further injury has been a real key..
