I recall a Franklin rant while he was on Cleveland's WWWE in the early 1970s. He tore into the Indians in similar fashion, aiming particularly at GM Phil Seghi and owner Nick Mileti ("PHIL SEGHI STINKS! ... NICK MILETI STINKS!&quot .

Franklin also worked at WFAN in New York City and KNBR in San Francisco.

Anyone else remember him?

Have you seen their remaining schedule? It's against teams they have not done well against all year...of course, that's pretty much everyone!

Some of these guys will see the move as a serious wakeup call that they cannot mail in the remainder of the season as they have been doing the last month and have to play hard to save their jobs. Ortiz is not going to play again this year though, and the team is just not that good in reality, so it will be a long September still. And the front office will have to jump hoops to keep up the nonsense of the bullshit sellout streak.
