Frankel rolls to a seven length victory....

http://www.thoroughbredtimes.com/racing-news/2012/08/22/unbeaten-frankel-cruises-in-juddmonte-international.aspx

Reigning European Horse of the Year Frankel handled the toughest test posed to him yet on Wednesday — and did so with devastating ease.

Racing beyond a mile for the first time, Frankel surged clear in the stretch to defeat a top-class field that included Farhh, St. Nicholas Abbey (Ire), and Twice Over (GB) in the Juddmonte International (Eng-G1) by seven lengths at York. The four-year-old Galileo (Ire) colt remained unbeaten in 13 career starts with his ninth Group 1 victory. His average winning margin is nearly 5 ¾ lengths.

Trainer Henry Cecil, who missed Frankel's victory in the QIPCO Sussex Stakes (Eng-G1) earlier this month, while undergoing treatments for cancer, was on hand to saddle the Juddmonte Farm homebred on Wednesday. Asked how the colt's performance made him feel, Cecil told Racing Post, "Probably 20 years better."

Away a beat slowly, Frankel was unhurried in the opening stages as stablemate and pacemaker Bullet Train, along with Robin Hood and Windsor Palace, led the field in the early going. Regular rider Tom Queally angled Frankel out for running room entering the straight, and, despite appearing as though he would find tight quarters on the rail for a few strides, Frankel cruised up to take the lead, accelerating effortlessly when the reins were shaken and pulling clear.
