Two run homer in the top of the 10th in San Francisco.
Since joining the team he's 4-11 with a triple, a home run, a run scored and 3 RBI.
NL West could be tied Sunday afternoon.
Or not.

Marco Scutaro?

(9,709 posts)I hate to keep harping on it, but if no other moves are made and you want to assign some blame, you can look back at least year's giveaway of the Giants primary trade chip for a 2 month rental..
maybe the ownership group needs deeper pockets.

(9,709 posts)the Giants darn well need to do a Red Sox. The Dodgers gave up virtually nothing for Ramirez, taking on his contract instead. Bill Neukom's vision of the Giants had them on equal footing with the financial big boys...but now he's gone and we've got a rainy day fund.

(31,177 posts)Next year the Giants free up a lot of money: Huff ($10 million), Freddy Sanchez ($6 million) and Aaron Rowand ($13.6 million) -- nearly $30 million. If they don't resign Brian Wilson, another $8.5 million. A chunk goes to keep Melky and maybe Pagan but the rest could get them another outfielder, first baseman, reliever, or combination thereof.
No argument: Wheeler would have been a great carrot to dangle this year.
