I was in the hospital for a week about 2 weeks ago. Nothing serious - just had my gallbladder removed. I've just had a hard time getting back online more often than I usually did. Now that I'm back at work - look for more LeBron & Wade posts. And a few Dolphins fun facts along the way.
I've missed posting here all the time. Today has been a real fun day at work for me. Reading emails and getting back to normal - which includes reading more DU.
As for the Gallbladder attack that I had. Let's just say it opened my eyes to a few things. First of all no more red meat. I can't even look at it anymore. I tried to eat it the other night and I nearly got sick. I have no taste for chocolate. I have no taste for fried foods. So maybe it was a blessing in disguise. I've already lost 10 pounds and I feel so much better. Who knew getting my gallbladder out would be all it takes to change my eating habits. PAINFUL LESSON.
Anyway - it's good to be back full time!!
Talk to you soon . . .

Hopefully the Heat will win it all tonight and make your day even better.

(7,429 posts)At least I've been watching a lot of the Heat lately. I was in the hospital for games 5, 6 & 7 of the Eastern Finals. It was painful to watch game 5, but the dilaudid helped a lot - LOL

(17,086 posts)I had a friend who passed out at a rest area off the Interstate in NJ when his gallbladder burst. He was hitch hiking to see the Dead at the Meadowlands. He woke up in a hospital thanks to some good samaritans. He had no money, so he traded some blotter acid for pot with the nurses. Then he hitch hiked back to Maine. When the hospital sent him the bill he had his landlord write "Deceased" on the envelope and return it unopened. He never heard from them again.
