Brian K. Vaughn's new book is worth a look

Saga - sort of a fantasy-themed story about a couple and their child fleeing an endless war. First issue is out and it's not entirely clear where the series is going this early on, but the writing is great and imaginative. There's sort of a magic vs. technology vibe here as well.

to find it, and it is completely fucking amazing. Fiona Staples' art is beautiful and the dialogue is crisp, snarky, and altogether real.

This is a winner.
