And I actually thought that it meant "Unite the Seven Seas," but that was probably wrong...

but that seems far-fetched. Much more likely Shazam/Captain Marvel.

7. Green Lantern

7. Green Arrow

Personally, I want Hawk Girl or Zatanna but they're longshots to make the 7.

I agree, he looks good, but the overall look of the film (from what I've seen, and based on Man of Steel's look) is too self-serious for the subject matter.

At least, it seems like gritty ol' Zack is once again grittily making a gritty movie about grittiness that, by the way, includes superheroes. But don't call them that, and try not to use their names any more than absolutely necessary, and for god's sake don't let anyone think for a minute that it's a comic book movie!

Last time around, I kind of had the sense that he was embarrassed about his source material. That's why we got a gritty Jor-El movie, with a gritty cameo by Superman.

//bitterness off. I really hope that he doesn't screw this up!

so why not feature him less?

Superman doesn't kill and he breaks Zod's neck, Superman is super vigilant about not causing property damage and yet Metropolis and Smallville were left in rubble, Superman could have saved his dad and not exposed his powers but instead he twiddled his thumbs.

The problem is that DC (in the modern era) has only been able to make the Nolan movies really profitable and well-received, while Marvel has had movies both under the Disney banner as well as properties like X-Men and some of the Spiderman movies find commercial and critical success. So DC is going with what worked for them and trying to make Superman gritty. Which doesn't work because he's a big blue boy scout. His world isn't supposed to be Batman's world.

The one with super-baby. That SM movie was so dull & forgettable. They were deservedly criticized for the lack of action in that movie. Really now, who goes to a Superman movie to see character development? We want to see SM smash & destroy the scenery and that's what we got & then some.

The director of 300 is fully in charge here and he's following the Frank Miller style of cinema very closely.
