ok, some 'take with a grain of salt' DC universe Superman/Batman movie rumors

.. in case you didn't already read it over at AICN:

Apparently the recent decision to push the Man of Steel sequel back 10 months caused some layoffs and reassignments of the production crew. One of them is supposedly pissed off enough to spill the beans on what could be major plot points (or made up fan-boy stuff or whatever)

-The villians are Lex Luthor and Metallo

-Batman forms a UN type deal to stop Superman from destroying another city

-Aquaman is in it, but not called Aquaman. He’s there because the world engine in the ocean did something to the fish

-Wonderwoman poses as a Wayne Enterprises investor to retrieve an item that belongs to her people.

-Lex Luthor is in the shadows a lot, a manipulator. Not much face time with Superman.

-Robin betrayed Batman at some point, leading to a falling out between them

-The Batcave was super cool looking, and the mobile looked similar to Burton’s

-Lois is investigating Lex.

-Metallo “kills” Clark

-The Daily Planet is bought by Lex Luthor for PR purposes

-At the end Superman is living in exile, and the Justice League is an government approved superhero team.

We've previously heard Robin is on board under the 'Nightwing' brand.

Aquaman = Arthur Curry

The last part where the Justice League is a Government approved super hero team, sounds too far fetched.
Batman won't allow it.

The rest could have been plot points considered.

Lex Luthor = Jesse Eisenberg :: What the hell are they thinking?

Alfred = Jeremy Irons :: I love Jeremy Irons as an actor, but as an Alfred? Unless they are doing the kick-ass Alred, I just don't see it.

Batman/Bruce Wayne = Ben Affleck :: Willing to give this a chance. I have my misgivings but, he is a decent actor and he can possibly pull this off. I would have liked others to take it, but oh well.

Wonderwoman = Gal Gadot :: I'll give this a chance, but I am still stuck on Gina Carano who has the physique and looks for it already. Given enough training, I can see her doing it, but I still have misgivings.

Superman, Lois Lane, Perry White and Martha Kent, we already know.

I have a huge problem with Jesse Eisenberg playing Lex Luthor however.

"Is Eisenberg’s Luthor inspired by two particular Superman stories — Birthright and Lex Luthor: Man of Steel? Will Irons’ Alfred take inspiration from the comic Batman: Earth One and the animated Beware the Batman? Those possibilities add to the impression of a production confident enough to take risks with casting and characterization."

I still don't see Jesse Eisenberg, because he tends to play the same character over and over.
Which is a manic, low self-esteem, motor-mouth kind of guy.

If they want to make Lex like that, I guess that is fine.

I just tend to think that Lex should be very charismatic and have a high self esteem, other than the type of jerk Eisenberg tends to play due to self esteem issues.

I would still watch it regardless.
