They stuck to the original story about the shipwreck and all and it looks like it could be a good show...

(8,217 posts)It was interesting.
The guy they got is doing pretty well, especially if he is doing his own parkour.
He kinda looks like a mix of a thinner Thor and the new Spartacus.
It isn't bad actually...
I got to see up to Deadshot.
This version of the Green Arrow actually kills, which I am very surprised about. Pleasantly though, I might add.

(8,217 posts)I had a hard time accepting the Helena Wayne version, since it makes the timeline a bit hard.
So, the Bertinelli one makes a bit of sense, besides, for something gritty like the current version of Arrow, that one makes the most sense.

(6,238 posts)It isn't perfect (the voiceover is kind of annoying) but it's a good show. I smiled at the Nightwing reference in last week's episode.

(45,558 posts)Green Arrow was always one of my favorite characters in DC. Even when he was just there in the early 60's Justice League. I loved the way the way DC refashioned him when Neil Adams and Denny O'Neill rebooted the character in GL/GA.
I remember seeing that Comic in the rack at the local Leader Drug store and just said wow. The art just dazzeled me. I was in sixth grade, I think and had been collecting comics sine I was about 7.
Wish I had my 600 strong collection that I sold a few years later when I wanted some money for Pot. Oh well...

Where:
"Rather than rely on superheroes, the show's first season featured high-octane fight scenes and high-tech weaponry. The result was the network's most watched show in the 2012-2013 season,"
I kinda enjoyed the fact that it was going for fight scenes that were actually kinda believable, and shows the athleticism of the actors and stuntment.
I don't know how I feel about this.

(8,217 posts)I guess I can see where they are coming from in regards to putting them all in the same world, towards a Justice League movie. I just hope that it doesn't become a distratction.

(904 posts)Will Arrow Crossover With the DC Justice League Movie Universe?
With so many beloved genre franchises being transformed into expansive multimedia universes, its an exciting (and worrisome) time to be a fanboy or girl. While we recently gained some insight into the future direction of Marvels Avengers universe, the bumpy road that DC Comics and Warner Bros. is traveling has been much harder to pin down.
On the DC movie side, theres Batman vs. Superman in the works and little promise of anything else. On the TV side, Arrow is doing better than ever, and that show will try to spinoff a Flash TV series - and just this week it was announced that an Hourman TV show is also in the works. With the DCU alive and flourishing on the small screen, theres been little reason to wonder about potential crossovers with the movie side of things; however, that conversation is about to start, thanks to Arrow star Stephen Amell.

(43,868 posts)Apparently Batman will be a an old retired crime fighter who does much of his work with drones. He's had a falling out with Dick Grayson (Nightwing)
