"Leaving the Witness" by Amber Scorah - wow. Really eye opening

I've really never thought much about the Jehovah's Witnesses - other than the odd rebuff of their visits through the years. But this book - of which we are about 80% through - is amazing. After listening to the podcast on NXIVM (now THAT was chilling!), and reading this book...and pondering trumpism - I remain utterly baffled about the prevalence and success of cults - what brings those assholes that create or lead them, and what allows the followers to...well, follow them.

Read the book - it is enlightening, and well worth the time if only to understand the power of cults, and challenge for those who wish to leave them.
