would really have liked to call it is:

"We Are Sad We Lost The Civil War And Can't Have Slaves Day"

Guess what "Great Americans" had birthdays near this date?

Robert E. Lee, Jan 19.

Thomas "Stonewall" Jackson, Jan 21.

Virginia made it more explicit. It was "Lee Jackson King" day until about 2007 IIRC.

to the response, Biloxi has newly voted to celebrate Martin Luther King Day, not "Great Americans."

to regress to the '80s, Lovemydog. I looked, and only @20% of Biloxi itself are black, compared to 37% (!) for MS. But they, and others who care about who and what we are, are refusing to be dragged down and making themselves felt.
