I had some things to say, but I would have been having to scroll through the mile long BS replies for days if I had.
I come from a completely different place than that. I just wish that for one moment, some people would take a trip inside their personal thought universe and see where they stand in relation to others.
As if they were standing on top of nothing, floating in space and taking a look around. Just once, and see the diffrence in power and how it's a waste.
I may say some of what I think here in AA, but it might not be conducive. The red herring of Farrakhan, etc. And things that cannot be hidden or denied.
And then to argue against the institutional aspect of racism when we live in a country that declared blacks 3/5ths of a person, and not for their own good, but to give even more representation to their fucking owners than one man one vote!
None of these other groups lived through generations of sustained terrorism. It's never on the agenda with people when they start talking trash.
Do they have imaginations? Can they put themselves in that place at all? And it's not like the piggie pig pigs ever let the memory die, do they?
My opinion on this is rather harsh. To me, their not doing so puts them in the same class as the plantation owners, still looking to get advantage. What makes them think that?
I can't define it, but I will use a definition by Farrakhan. He called it insanity to object to having a black person sit next to a white person at a lunch counter, for which blacks were abused for years for daring to ask such a thing. He was right.
As far as him or anyone like him being a racist because he said what he thought (OMG, how dare he?) and people get their feelings hurt listening to the opinions of others, but he can't be an asshole.
Hey, join the club of those who had to put up with BS. And too many have had to listen, not just to the opinions of others, but outright insane falsehoods challenging all forms of logic and reason.
Okay, I'll say what I wouldn't say on the thread. Farrakhan can't be racist for his words, he's only obnoxious and not bccause of his words on race or ethincity. He appears to fancy himself as a sort of magician with his delivery. But other seeks also had the gift of oratory to move people. Farrakhan just doesn't have the light of spirit of a MLK or a Jackson because its not there.
And if I was black, I'd want to be separatist until the power in this country was equalized. It's called a divorce from abuse. Now I expect hate mail, but what the fuck. There, I said it.
