I am very disappointed that the Tony awards totally ignored the musical play Allegiance, with another majority cast of color. Sure, in the year of Hamilton, you knew who was going to get most of the awards, but to not even nominate a play whose performances were emotionally gripping from the very first line to the final curtain was to say the least an oversight. George Takei and company would've got my Tony.

Such a year packed with talent and innovation. Even though Hamilton winning has been written in the stars for about a year, so many other amazing shows opened this season as well.
