First Lady Michelle Obama welcomed spring with a warm embrace this week when she wore a floral gown to the White House state dinner in honor of Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
FLOTUS donned the strapless deep blue gown Thursday evening alongside President Barack Obama, Minster Trudeau, and his wife, Sophie Trudeau. Obamas gown was designed by Jason Wu, a designer she has frequently worn in the past.
What made the choice even more admirable was Wus hometown connection to Canada, The Huffington Post reports.
Sasha and Malia Obama also looked gorgeous at the dinner, reminding us how fast theyve grown!

(56,582 posts)Love her heels. Holy crap.
Also. Some men feel required to fall into a tux.
Obama was sculpted into one. That man can wear formal. That's something I kind of demand of a President.

(2,197 posts)was the only other FLOTUS able to get away with the strapless look like Michelle Obama does.
What I also like about Michelle Obama is that while she occasionally uses some of the traditional designers, she gives a lot of play to new and upcoming designers.
And...damn, we've seen Sasha and Malia grow up before our eyes...

(24,544 posts)They showed a picture of all four of them together in front of the White House and it took me 20 whole seconds before I could tear my eyes away from Michelle and even glance at the other three people in the picture.
EVERYTHING was perfection. Her hair, shoes. But the dress was simply sublime and she killed in it. This was the pic that I saw:

The Obama family always looks so damn sharp. All four of them. Tall, slim, classy, gorgeous all the way. Great "clotheshorses", to use an old expression. A clotheshorse is someone who basically looks good in their clothes like a model. Tall and slim helps a whole lot.
I'm not sure about that purple and orange thing Miss Sophie has on.
