The Gloria Steinem "outrage" is quite interesting.

Gloria Steinem, a true pioneer, an icon, a woman who paved the way for so many of today's women, made a stupid off-the-cuff comment and she was rightly criticized for it. She apologized, but many women - who seem to be mostly white Sanders supporters - are having none of it. She is dead to them now and they are piling on and attacking her viciously.

But, as someone has noted, Sanders supporters and some endorsers (such as Dr. West) have made the most obnoxious, insensitive and often racist comments and have yet to apologize. Yet when black folk object, we're told to grow up, be quiet, we're being divisive, why does it always have to be about race, stop playing the race card, etc.

The sense of racial entitlement is glaring among many of these people.

But even worse, the absence of grace and complete lack of gratitude, appreciation and respect for an 81 year-old woman who, before many of their parents were born, was kicking down the doors that these women are strolling through without looking back and without so much as a thank you is absolutely sickening.

on Gloria Steinem are the same as those who pile on Hillary. They are totally clueless about the struggles that Gloria and those like her underwent to give them what they consider to be their due today.

Thankless, unappreciative brats they are indeed - I don't care what ages they are. F*** em!

I read the post with their FB posts in it and thought it was a case of

I've got mine.

You got yours. Never mind that without you - I wouldn't have mine.

They need to woman up and move on.

I'm keeping quiet other than that - as I like the Womanist movement growing among young black women.

like her who paved the way under circumstances they will never have to endure?

Race? I hear a lot of shit from people of all races who never had fire hoses turned on them or saw their relatives hanging from a tree.

Biggest problem is the human race-- we never seem to grow up.

Steinem made a wisecrack and all these assholes are throwing her under the bus for it? One wiseass comment and a lifetime of work goes out the window?

And DUers are far from the worst-- crazy people all over the web are piling on.

A wildly distorted headline, there they go mindlessly jumping off cliffs without even taking a few minutes to go to the original source and make up their own minds. And the cliff-jumpers are the same people constantly accusing everyone else of being stupid and believing the MSM and being bots and fans.

What would be a racist analog for "young women like a certain political candidate only to please boys"?

Because, whatever it is, I highly doubt that anybody around here would not be outraged by it.
