May the FORCE be with you all!

My grandsons and I went to see it in IMAX/3D.

Wow, one of the boys is only 5 yrs old and I worried he would get bored or fall asleep, not a CHANCE

They both said it was the best movie ever, and it was, by the way.

GO SEE IT!

I'm thinking about going to see this new one, although I'm not sure if its going to make sense, since I haven't seen any of the older ones.

2. You simply have to allow your inner child to enjoy his or herself.

My two boys were transfixed ...

The concept and in this case the writing, directing, acting, is simply the best ever of it's genre.

It is almost a perfect movie.

And two more to follow.

4. If I took my five year old to see Star Wars she'd have run out the theater never to be seen again

in the first 8 minutes. I really enjoyed that movie. And I LOVED that the star was just some average, run of the mill looking brother.

He wasn't 6'4 with the body of a god. Just an average looking brother that you'd smile at on the street and keep right on stepping. After being bombarded with average looking or even straight up homely white people in movies -- including ones that are supposed to be paragons of beauty -- I was pleasantly surprised.

Like they say, true (gender) equality will come when there are as many untalented women in politics/business as there are untalented men. Well true (movie) equality will come when there are as many average looking poc starring in films as there are average looking white folks.

5. I was impressed with how well the two leads played off each other, the young Woman and man.

The man (John Boyega), British I believe, had a sense of humor and comedy timing that the part required and he did it well.

The other guy, Oscar Isaac was also quite good and fun.

Daisy Ridley, the female lead, did a great job as well.

Now Adam Driver as Kylo Ren, the villain, was effective, and I was afraid I wouldnt believe him because of Girls, but no problem.

I kept looking over at my grandson Jaden, who might be 6, not sure, and I thought he would be scared or asleep, but neither

he and his 13 yr old brother both said best movie ever!

Daisy was freaking amazing. I loved her and thought that she was incredibly clever and she was actually legitimately good looking.

Re: The bad guy, I couldn't understand for the life of me why Han Solo and Leia's kid would have such dark hair and features. Han and Leia are both brown haired/light eyed. But I guess that would have been too controversial to have a light haired/eyed bad guy in a Star Wars movie. Gotta keep all the bad guys in black, I guess.

He wasn't all that convincing either. He was awesome when he had the mask on, but I wasn't really feeling him when he took it off.

The guy who played Fin was precious. Like you said, his humor added alot to the role. He was very likeable.

And Randy, why don't you know how old your own grandson is??!

Jennifer Aniston, the Arab equivalent of Ben Affleck commanding millions per screen and getting their pick of movie roles, then we know we've reached something resembling onscreen movie equality.

I ain't holding my breath.
