And speaking of people who bring nothing positive to the discussion: There are a few Bernie Sanders supporters here on DU who have been utterly dismissive of the legitimate concerns of large segments of the Democratic base. Their attitude is totally human but also completely antithetical to their candidate's efforts to broaden his appeal within the Democratic party. I isn't "fair" but it is a good thing that that type of behavior would NEVER be permitted from a Hillary supporter here on DU, because that type of behavior is a huge turn-off and would not help Hillary in the slightest.

That's about as close to a big old FUCK YOU that these people will ever get from the creators and owners of this web site. And I second it whole heartedly, whole headedly, whole assedly and every damn thing else.

And it goes double for those that scream our issues aren't important in GD and do their damn best to shut down every discussion about, but then go back to their cubbyholes and say the EXACT same thing that they just screamed were "identity politics" to the black posters trying to discuss them in the big forums.

And that goes triple for people that are using our discussion of these issues as a way to reinvigorate old and long dead DU grudges that only mean something to them because they don't have shit else going on in their lives and who seem to be VISIBLY upset that groups that were at each other's throats in 2008-2009 are getting along with one another despite their YEARS-long and unrelenting efforts to make good and goddamn sure that never happens.

I got something in my pocket for these folks. Almost got it... here it comes...

What happened here the other night blew me away. A team came in and took a dump on your concerns in your safe haven, because you just don't matter. It is just a meme. It was #BLACKLIVESDONOTMATTER. The ugly attack on 1Strong, he is not really black? He is a fake? Lee Atwater. Race Baiting? WTF!

I agree with you 100%.

They see that there is a big time problem, especially with the jury system that they have been touting over and over again as being fair and equal.

So now, the admins have finally acknowledged what everyone else has known for years -- that the jury system doesn't work and is in no way fair and equal. And instead of doing something about it, they just expect for everyone that's not an open and unabashed Bernie supporter to just suck it up because the man has no chance of winning and his "supporters" here are just being obnoxious as hell to cover for that fact.

On one hand, Skinner is openly saying "bless your hearts" to the foul Sanders supporters here (and I don't put everyone in that "foul" category. Randy and noire certainly doesn't belong there, neither does geek tragedy and a few others) which is kind of funny. Anyone that knows Southern women will tell you that NO insult is greater than being told "bless your heart." Means you don't have a lick of sense or a chance in hell. On the other hand though, he's once again deciding not to do anything about an open problem on his board, which isn't funny at all.

But I was glad to see him -- FINALLY -- say something about the blatant trolling of minority posters on this board and how stupid and counter productive their tactics are. If he had taken the final step and called it exactly what it is -- paternalistic and racist -- that's the only thing that would have made that better.
