In honor of a AA Group member ...

I enter the term "BettyEllen" into the lexicon ...

Origin of the term: In an active, DUer BettyEllen made a comment that she, not being a big sports fan, has developed a strategy for entertaining herself at sporting events ... she picks a person out and repeats whatever they shout out with gusto. (LOL)

Tern usage:

And, the deeper I look at it, that "classism" narrative really isn't about classism; but rather, "meism" ... the loudest voices shouting income inequality are really just frustrated 10%ers, and their "BettyEllens", who couldn't give less of a damn about the poor, or PoC, or any of the other "others" ... they care only about one of two things (though they may vacillate between the options): closing the gap between themselves and the 1%ers; or, punishing the 1%ers because they have attained what has eluded the DU 10%ers.

LOL. I wonder when Webster's will adopt the term?

My gawd, that's an ugly thing to say.

I may be a 10% er, but I would happily lift more of my people. Closing the gap between the top 1% and the top 10% is not on my radar. It never occurred to me that that MIGHT be what economic justice is about.

Please be wrong. Please.
