I think there is more focus on men, probably because the fact that they are getting killed more often. And it's less likely that the cops use the feared for their lives excuse. Remember that lady that had had an accident and the person at the home whose dooor she knocked on shot her in the face? He did not get away with it like Zimmerman.
I'm noticing more and more Brown people getting shot by the police these days too. See that 17 year old girl who got shot by police. The cops are lying there too. Sooon it will be gay people getting shot for being too aggresively gay. Cops are more dangerous to me than most people. Above the law.

Isn't much higher for men. When you include sexual assault by law enforcement, it seems women suffer more. Just more media coverage.

There are close to 20 women killed by cops in the last few years. But they aren't household names.

I don't mean that women should dominate BLM, but they need to be a bigger part of the focus than they are now.

We do not focus enough attention on women in the black community. we can and will do better in this generation. Even if I have to write articles myself.

Photos and bios of the dead women killed for no reason. I once witnessed the lapd shoot a homeless woman. Saw the whole thing. Never got over it, ya know? I didn't even hear the gunshots for some reason. She had a screwdriver and was mentally ill. Never approached them. Just wouldn't drop the screwdriver. The police said she lunged at them. Did not happen.

I can't imagine how you would get over that. I'm sorry you had to witness such a horrific thing.

I can't wait for your post.

I looked at a few of the beautiful dead ladies.
And little girls shot by police on 'accident'.
