I dont blame the African American DU community for not bothering with all those white experts on racism

(31,834 posts)Not sure what the dealio is in general - but some of the folks on that . . .
You will never see them stand up on the side of justice - not when it comes to us.
So of COURSE they are going to pounce on that.
I really like the - "but when it's a REAL race issue" - coming from people who absolutely do not believe our experience and if they do - deep down inside are chuckling about it.
Good times! Good times!

(31,849 posts)I think I figured out/understand why so many white "progressives" resist the definition of racism that includes the power relationship dynamic, i.e., Racism=racial bigotry+institutional/cultural power ...
It's because they consciously/unconsciously understand that it cuts against their "larger" income inequity victimhood argument ... One can't argue, destroying the institutional factors that lock one's economic station in inequity, when those same institutional forces, give you power over others (that they enjoy) ... destroying the one, destroys that part of it that benefits them.
No wonder the status quo is comforting.

(16,286 posts)in HUGE numbers, or reverse all the institutional behaviors that guarantees white people succeed beyond their non white counterpart.
But that would be reversing everything, i mean there is not a single factor that effects economics and social status where the system doesnt reward whites.
So I say write checks...big ones

I questioned why, a practice that is widely acknowledged (i.e., out of district players) is suddenly the source of disgruntlement, worthy of 2 league investigations and a journalists investigation?
Of course ... It couldn't be the fact that a Black team won it this time.
I've decided that 1/2 the 1SBM family's income tax return will be donated to the JR for the purpose of holding a baseball clinic for the team. I have a call into one of my Fraternity Brothers that played major league ball to participate in it.
