Yes I am suspicious of 2 news stories in the Media

Last edited Thu Dec 25, 2014, 04:32 PM - Edit history (2)

First right after America finds out how pissed folks are about cops getting away with murder of unarmed black men, we have some armed black man from Georgia going to Brooklyn and killing 2 cops. I am having trouble with that one.

Second now we have this new killing of supposed armed 18 year old black teen Antonio Martin near Ferguson for proof we get grainy video from gas station that has been edited. The cop had body cam but didn't have it on. The dash cam won't be released. I am having trouble with this one too.

Maybe the Media is just using these stories to stop peaceful protests or at least discourage protesters

Regardless they won't stop the protests as far as a lot of folks I know are concerned which is a good thing. I hope everyone else feels that way too.

There are way to many holes in the story for it to add up & the store video is anything but conclusive. Like cops aren't known to drop weapons at scenes & I think they learned a lesson from the Mike Brown shooting about that one, which is how one miraculously showed up at this scene. This guy didn't have to die, no if, ands, or, buts, about it.

I'm keeping a keen eye on the evidence in MO. The cop sure thought he had a gun - that's pretty clear from the camera angle that shows the cop tripping over himself backwards.

I just want to make sure he actually had a gun and wasn't holding up his cellphone to tell the cop "I'm filming you". It will be interesting to see what the man who ran has to say.

BTW, it looks like the man who ran, ran straight into the convenience store!

I hope you are right that folks don't get bullied into not protesting.

He had an address from Georgia. Also Brooklyn and Maryland. His last address was Maryland, iirc.

these stories to undermine the protesters' messages.

The fact that both videos under the cops' control are unavailable tells me all I need to know about the trustworthiness of the cops in this case.

I thought they said it wasn't on? I also thought that the courts have said that they have to release dashcam recordings.

Tinfoil hat or not, I completely agree with you

I can't see a weapon, even in the blow-up the cop-apologists have posted.

All I can see is his right arm, he could as well be raising both arms whilst saying "Hands up, don't shoot!".

There's no excuse for the cop's camera being off, but the fan-boys don't want to talk about that.

EDIT: Not familiar with the other story. Took a break from all input but El Rey for a coupla.
