Multiple employees at Milwaukee's VA Center under investigation
By Nick Bohr
UPDATED 6:23 PM CST Mar 06, 2014

WISN 12 News has learned of a criminal investigation at the Veteran Affairs Medical Center involving the staff.

The VA Medical Center is being very tight-lipped about the exact nature of the investigation, but WISN 12 News learned it involves accusations of the misuse of prescription drugs and involves multiple employees.

Milwaukee's massive VA Medical Center houses nearly 200 in-patient beds and some 500,000 outpatient visits a year.

At 125 acres, it's so large a complex it has its own police force, and WISN 12 News has learned that police force has been busy in recent weeks tracking down allegations that some staff members have been misusing prescription drugs.

but I work with a number of former police officers and detectives who worked in NYC before coming to work for the organization I work for. They recount numerous stories about drug investigations that lead them to VA hospital in and around NYC. Part of their story is, that when they pass information to the federal police officers on the VA facilities, they meet resistance and a reluctance for the VA to do anything about the alleged drug situation. One of the detectives assured me that he knew the drugs where coming straight out of the VA and the VA cops did absolutely nothing but look the other way.

In other words, I totally don't find what the article is addressing unbelievable.
