The FBI is investigating a report of a dirty bomb on a ship at the Port of Charleston in South Carolina, Coast Guard officials said Wednesday.

A dirty bomb combines radioactive material with conventional explosives.

The Wando Welch terminal was evacuated and authorities were seen taping off a ship, witnesses told WCSC-TV.

Hazmat and EMS crews were also on scene, witnesses said, WCSC-TV reported.

Both the Coast Guard and the Charleston County Sheriff’s Office responded to the incident.
