An infographic on the cost of the F-35



OK, here's what I would do....take the 133,000 employees that this program claims would be employed and put them to work dealing with our deteriorating infrastructure. Pay Lockheed, I dunno, say,10BB/year to manage it. Assuming $100K average salieries...that would be $143BB/year. Seems like a reasonable economic plan to stimulate the economy....and we might actually get some longterm value from that investment.

P51 & P47's.

Seriously this program needs to go away and simply build replacement F15, F16 & F/A 18's as those aircraft wear out. The R&D is paid on those airframes long ago and if they need upgraded avionics or engines I am sure those could be arranged.
