PORTSMOUTH

The requalification process for radiological control technicians has been halted and some work suspended after a Norfolk Naval Shipyard supervisor found a group of technicians studying for an upcoming exam on Wednesday with copies of several current examinations and answer keys, according to a news release.

A formal control process limits access to this material, the shipyard news release said, so the supervisor reported the problem to shipyard management.

A group of shipyard managers, independent from the technicians and training organization are investigating how they got access to the exams and answer keys.

Additionally, the individuals who may have been involved have been assigned to administrative duties at the shipyard pending results of the investigation. As a result, some work will be temporarily suspended until the investigation complete.
