Patriotism vs. treason

Let me get this straight:

Leaking documents which arguably show the government overstepping its bounds, but might potentially increase security risks gets you 35 years in prison.

Selling arms (and trading them for hostages - "don't give in to terrorists" my ass) to a country with which the US has a trade embargo and has identified as a "State Sponsor of Terrorism" (Iran), then using the profits to support an illegal clandestine war in Central America (acts which undeniably and directly resulted in loss of life in the thousands in Iraq, Honduras and Nicaragua), and then destroying documents in order to protect the president (Raygun - who should have been impeached over this shit) gets you convicted on 16 counts for about five minutes and then an overturned verdict on a sweetheart deal, followed by the eternal right-wing HERO stamp and media contracts.

Got it.
