Jersey City shooting is being investigated as an act of domestic terrorism, authorities say

JERSEY CITY — Law enforcement officials announced Thursday that the deadly attack at a Jersey City kosher supermarket, which left six people dead, is being investigated as a domestic terrorism event.
The evidence points toward acts of hate, New Jersey attorney general Gurbir S. Grewal said at a news conference. “We believe the suspects held views that reflected hatred of the Jewish people, as well as the hatred of law enforcement."
Sam Gold was on his way to the synagogue and parked across from a kosher deli when his phone rang Tuesday. The brief call from his wife kept Gold inside his Kia Optima, and he didn’t notice the nearby U-Haul truck until he hung up.
Two men got out of the truck with large guns and moved toward the JC Kosher Supermarket in the predominantly Jewish neighborhood of Greenville, Gold said.
