Gun Control & RKBA
Related: About this forumSo it appears the Texas A&M shooter, Thomas Caffall, was a HUGE gun nut (PHOTOS)
Another gun nut gifted to the American people courtesy of the NRA and their right wing enablers.
Check this out:
On Caffall's FB page he wrote: here's my 1932 mosin nagant with the bayonet (pig-sticker) attached. it's about three inches shorter than me. i can't wait to shoot it.
On Caffall's FB page he wrote: I just got a new toy! It's a Russian Mosin Nagant that looks like it might not have been fired in 80 years, but was extremely well preserved. The two big cans above it are ammo. I'll be at the gun range as much as I can...
On Caffall's FB page he wrote: I won an auction. This will be coming to me soon. I can't wait to try it out"
On Caffall's FB page he wrote: No, it's not an AK. It's a Czech vz. 58. Just picked it up today, can't wait to try it out on the range.

(2,927 posts)I agree that he was a nut... obviously, he shot people. But a gun nut? He owned three legal weapons that I can see -- only one of which would be considered an assault weapon under the previous definition (the CZ VZ58).
As too the HUGE accusation... he doesn't appear to be overweight in the photograph.
Perhaps you could provide your definition of what constitutes a HUGE GUN NUT?

(15,396 posts)Does not a gun nut make....just a loser nut that couldn't keep his apartment.
He should have concentrated on paying his bills instead of buying collector firearms.

(2,927 posts)... Beware the man with one gun ... he knows how to use it.
I participate in a number of shooting sports (hunting birds, game, shooting single action competitions) -- each requires a specific type of weapon. So, I've amassed a nice collection over the years.

(2,239 posts)There are over 85,000,000+ gun owners in the US: you're mentioning 1 outlier and hoping someone will buy what you are selling. You've been debunked. It wasn't hard.
Remember: Hoplophobia is a mental disorder.
Hasty generalization is a logical fallacy of faulty generalization by reaching an inductive generalization based on insufficient evidence essentially making a hasty conclusion without considering all of the variables. In statistics, it may involve basing broad conclusions regarding the statistics of a survey from a small sample group that fails to sufficiently represent an entire population.[1] Its opposite fallacy is called slothful induction, or denying the logical conclusion of an inductive argument (e.g. "it was just a coincidence" .
Hasty generalization usually shows this pattern.
X is true for A.
X is true for B.
X is true for C.
X is true for D.
Therefore, X is true for E, F, G, etc.
