So my wife finally wants her CHP

She doesn't want to CC but rather have a firearm with her when she travels out of town. Her job takes her away every few weeks overnight for a couple of days and she's decided it would be nice to have something besides a kimber pepper blaster when she checks in.

She's not a mechanical person and has problems with charging my autos so I'm really thinking the old cliche 38 revolver is in her best interest. Considering she really doesn't plan on CCin' on her person I'm leaning toward a 3" barrel also.

I'd actually like to find a 3" 9mm revolver to pair with all my other 9's...

I'm also not a fan of carrying a firearm in the purse, so what would be the best way to move from vehicle to room?

My brother carried a 3" Smith Chief's Special as an off duty gun. It hid pretty well.

but there are lots of forums devoted exclusively to firearms. You might get a more detailed response by posting your question on a couple firearms forums. I think that there may even be a Smith & Wesson forum. Got to be a lot of snubby owners there.

They are available in several sizes, be sure that a speed loader or two will fit in .

There are also several single pistol hard shell cases available.

Very easy to chamber a round in a LC9 or PPS. Took my gf to a local gun show to browse and she even handled the Sig 2022 9mm without issue.

carrys a Ruger SR9C 9mm in a Stoner 415 IWB holster. She likes the comfort of the holster, and she has no trouble handling the Ruger.

the revolver. Some ladies do well with a semi-auto, some do not. My own wife prefers the revolver.
Since she's getting her permit, she just needs to be mindful of each states carry laws, and she'll be fine. A snubby concealed in the purse should be adequate in moving from vehicle to room and back again.

...under a black or navy jacket.

What about a Charter Pit Bull Pistol in 40 S&W? It's stainless.

We'll have to do some more looking.

Innovation with revolvers can only go so far it seems.
