TEXAS: Use of Lawfully-Owned Suppressors While Hunting Legalized

http://www.nraila.org/hunting/issues-and-alerts/2012/3/texas-use-of-lawfully-owned-suppressors-while-hunting-legalized-in-the-lone-star-state-(1).aspx

Today the Texas Parks and Wildlife Commission voted unanimously to legalize suppressor use while hunting. The benefits associated with suppressor use include increased accuracy due to reduced recoil and muzzle blast, protection from hearing damage and reduced noise pollution.

Another small step forward for gun rights.

Suppressors don't turn a gun into something that goes, "Phfut" like a duck farting when you pull the trigger.

They lower the sound from hearing damaging range to just 'Fuck, that's loud!'.

I think it's Finland and Sweden that require supressors for indoor ranges and some hunting situations? IIRC, they sell them at sporting goods and hardware stores in Finland.

Cheney will love that.

He can shoot another friend. Only this time, no one will know.

Will the suppressor also muffle the screams of "Oh my God, I've been shot, I've been shot!"?

Whisper = Blackout??? I've read...?

figure 200 yards would be about the max I'd shoot anyway, so it should do pretty good IMO.

I bought a stripped lower last month but I'm probably going to go with a complete upper.

I've seen 200 rounds on gunbroker at pretty acceptable prices for target ammo. Go down to 125's for hunting.

Figure this upper should give me all the accuracy I need, plus I like the old triangle F base sight.
