A thought about safety

Any protection system has its uses and limitations. I wanted to pass along what appears to be a reasonable deal. Looks at least 1/2 off the best deal I can find.

IMHO safes like this work to keep the younger children away from the handgun but once they're old enough to climb and such, there is no safe place to keep the keys. At that point the only effective lock would be a combination or biometric.

Any thoughts?

Anything is better than nothing. Most all handguns come with a free cable lock, USE THEM if you have no other way of securing them. I wish there would be a government rebate or tax credit on safe, gun lock boxes to promote safety.

Be safe all, secure your firearms

Set into the wall, and somewhat disguised. At least for the pieces the wife and I would use if instant access were necessary; everything else in a safe.

I don't like bio because of dependence on power supply.

My current safe is electronic combo with key backup, key kept in separate place if batteries go bad, but I'd prefer a mechanical combo.
