An Iowa City man faces multiple charges after allegedly bringing a loaded gun to work.
According to an Iowa City police criminal complaint, Luis J. Ramirez-Hernandez, of Finkbine Lane, brought a BB gun, a stun gun, and a loaded .357 revolver to work on Aug. 19. During work-related travel, Ramirez-Hernandez "was zapping" the stun gun at his co-worker, then stuck the barrel of the gun in the victim's ribs and asked how it felt, the complaint said.
Police said Ramirez-Hernandez admitted to bringing the gun to work after getting it from a "homie," then showed officers a photo of him holding the gun on his cellphone, stating it was the same gun he brought to work.
Ramirez-Hernandez was arrested at 1:32 p.m. Wednesday when police say a plain clothes detective in an unmarked car recognized him and, knowing his driver's license was barred, radioed to have a marked police car make the traffic stop at Highway 6 and Fair Meadows Boulevard. When he was pulled over, Ramirez-Hernandez was operating a white 2002 Ford Explorer and told the officer he was on his way to Muscatine to pay traffic fines, the complaint says.

Hernandez admitted to bringing the gun to work after getting it from a "homie,"
So what new law would cover this problem?
Care to discuss the article you pasted without comment. I assume you think that it is wrong he was arrested and should have been able to bring the gun to work, right?
