On The First Day Of Georgia’s New ‘Guns Everywhere’ Law, Two Guys With Guns Clash

On the very first day of the new Georgia Safe Carry Protection Act — aka: the ‘guns everywhere’ law — a misunderstanding between two armed men in a convenience store Tuesday led to a drawn firearm and a man’s arrest, according to the Valdosta Family Times.

We totally did not see this coming. We were told that we needed more guns.

What does the new gun law have to do with this altercation? Unless there was a sign prohibiting guns in that store, it was legal to carry a gun into that store on Monday. Or am I missing something?

This is almost word-for-word what he recommended to do with someone open carrying. The person who initiated the confrontation was clearly in the wrong; he had no reason to think the other person was doing anything illegal. The second person did exactly the right thing to avoid a conflict.
