Related: About this forumBurglar shot twice after he locks Houston homeowner in gun cupboard
Three armed invaders broke into a Houston home at 2 p.m. Tuesday.
But, unluckily for them, they hadn't realized they'd stuffed him in his own weapons store.

is a good place to start. Something else you might check out is Richard Mattheson collected stories vol 1 and 2 . He wrote "I am Legend" but I enjoy his short stories.

(18,479 posts)I've read a few by Mattheson. I'll look for Collected Strange Stories.
Have I mentioned Jerome Bixby? I can't remember.

2. The Japanese version of "Pulse"
excellent films if you don't mind subtitles. There may be English over dub versions available. Let me know what you think.

(10,164 posts)I live in a pretty old place (c. 1910) with oddly-shaped rooms and closets and a lot of built-ins. There was a perfectly-sized nook in my bedroom closet for my little stand-up safe.

"Cupboard" is probably a regional term.

(26,602 posts)inside of with room to spare - I'd call something that large a "closet." But I do use cupboard on occasion, in place of "cabinet", which would be my more common term. (For spatial reference, I'm Californian.)

(6 posts)Good the invader was shot, I believe by now he will be regretting his actions.
"Cops said the homeowner, who lives with his parents, will not face charges as Texas has a self-defense "castle doctrine" law where residents can "stand their ground."
The 'Stand Your Ground' law would not be needed here because it was an act of self defense inside his own home.
