There has been a couple of op eds written by DC suits pretending to be "redneck deer hunters" including one who says he uses an old Hawken. Southerners using a Hawken?
I'm not saying that the NRA speaks for everyone, but today's OK hunting rifle will be tomorrows "high power sniper rifle" just like in in Australia, the push is calling target pistols "hand held machine guns hidden in glove boxes"
TV ads, commercial and political, have these in common
they are all propaganda trying to sell you something
more often than not, they are dishonest and not to be believed.

In a story today trying to make it sound some kids had a AR..Later in the story tlit come out it was a 45 pistol with a magazine.
