The PR stunt proved to be more of an embarrassment, however, when 5 people were shot at 3 different gun shows on Gun Appreciation Day. On Friday afternoon, an Iowa gun dealer closed out the week by becoming the sixth person shot at a gun show. The man claims he was showing off a .25 caliber pistol he thought was unloaded when he slid the action of the gun. The gun was not unloaded, and a bullet went through his left palm.

The Gun Nut Moran had another loaded gun too.
Did I say Moran?

(2,708 posts)3. It has been __ days without a gunshow shooting
On Friday afternoon, an Iowa gun dealer closed out the week by becoming the sixth person shot at a gun show.
Dang, & they had the sign up to 6, dang it.
We Have Gone 6 Days without an Accidental Shooting at American Gun Shows.
.. now they'll have to start over again. They should have it up to 6 again in no time.
The man claims he was showing off a .25 caliber pistol he thought was unloaded when he slid the action of the gun. The gun was not unloaded, and a bullet went through his left palm.
I'll bet there's an accidental 'misfire' every other gunshow, regularly, which is inconsequential in that it doesn't hit anyone &/or property, or causes negligible damage.
What gunnut would report a skin abrasion as a misfired bullet skims his thigh? where he could just put some salve on it? or a bandaid? uh, caught my pants on a hook inside.
Honey, where's the 22 handgun I wanted to sell here? -- oh, I put it down in the RV to get the rifle, & forgot I left it, I'll get it, OH! look in the window! little jonny's got the handgun! ---- POW! --- oh thank god, he only shot a hole in the floor, praise the lord! -- I barely heard the shot, hon, let's uh, say, this uh, never happened, know what I mean? -- yes dear!

(5,420 posts)4. so the answer must be more gun shows!
6 a week is not bad. Let em keep going to these circular firing squads. Eventually this problem will just die out.
Oh and these are the RESPONSIBLE gun owners, mind you.

(813 posts)6. Yeah, at that rate
Yeah, at that rate it would only take 256,410 years to get rid of them all. Grab nut progress at work.
Too bad they'll never live long enough to all be shot, eh?
