Gun Control & RKBA
Related: About this forumYou can't legally hunt with this - nor can it be used for competitive skeet shooting
It serves no purpose but to kill lots of humans - very quickly.
It should be banned.

(18,479 posts)You would never get a Woodcock with that Beast. Too heavy, That's why I like a light Double for Hunting. Slug in one Barrel, Shot in the other.
What else could you use a Street-Sweeper for?
ProgressiveProfessor
(22,144 posts)The Street Sweeper was a large scale revolver. That magazine is removable
iiibbb
(1,448 posts)... I saw someone use that pairing at a IPSC match and it was pretty amazing.... surely faster.
Although truly, not many serious hunters would bother with it... but that doesn't negate the fact that the OP posted a falsehood meant to cause fear.
Straw Man
(6,625 posts)... but wouldn't you be able to legally hunt migratory birds with it if you used a three-round magazine and didn't have a larger magazine in your possession while in the field?
iiibbb
(1,448 posts)that they only held 3 rounds and could not be easily returned to their regular operation.
And I suspect you could only have one magazine.
I wouldn't want to push my luck leaving myself to the subjective interpretation by a game warden in the field.
Xithras
(16,191 posts)The three round limit merely means that the firearm can't have the capability of carrying more than 3 rounds while you're hunting. I used to regularly hunt with shotguns capable of carrying more than 3 shells. You simply had to dowel the tube to make sure that it was limited to 3 in the field.
I've never owned a Saiga 12, but I know that there are companies that make cheap magazine inserts for them to make them legal for hunters in all 50 states. I wouldn't be surprised if there were companies that simply made 3 shell magazines for them as well.

You can't hunt with one these either:
or one of these:
iiibbb
(1,448 posts)Technically, you can hunt with it. It's perfectly legal even if no serious hunter would probably pick something like that.

(12,072 posts)I don't have to demonstrate a need for it. All I have to do is have the money to buy and the desire. You don't like freedom very much do you?
BTW - I would like to buy one of those in .410 bore with a 20 round magazine, three inch chamber. Load it with 000 buckshot (five balls of .35 caliber) and it would great for my wife to use for home defense.
darkangel218
(13,985 posts)that thing sure is scary looking...
Travis_0004
(5,417 posts)And as others have said, that gun would work for 3 gun competitions, and other shooting sports, so there are plenty of legitimate uses for it.

(15,396 posts)Then come home and insert the drum and use it as a home defense firearm.
Or
Take it out and try and shoot skeet down on the farm if you want.
Or
Just shoot melons with it.
Or
Just keep it because it's your right.

I keep forgetting machine guns are made for target practice, not for shooting people.

(2,927 posts)... that is "The Machine" -- from "Princess Bride"
As for the awesome gun in the OP -- not a machine gun at all -- it's semi-automatic.
mokawanis
(4,451 posts)but I like your username, and I really like the idea of banning machine guns and semi-automatics.
