The Democratic Party and the war on weed

I know many in the cannabis world who are Libertarians because they view both parties as historically infringing on their personal choices and escalating the war on drugs.

I think this is a tragic situation for the Democratic Party.
I agree with Thom Hartmann who has advocated for years the the Democrats get out in front in the issue of legal cannabis.

We Democrats have lost many voters over this.

It's disgusting, really. That the democratic party supports the making of profit by locking up citizens on specious charges like possession of weed or jaywalking or stealing a candy bar.

existing mostly due to Democratic efforts. Your libertarian friends are doing drama about tragic infringements on their persons while here Democrats and others have already legalized it. But good for them, they do love that drama.

I can buy tobacco, alcohol a very fast vehicle and a semi automatic combat rifle without a prescription, but a bottle of vicodin? No no....that's way too dangerous!
