Waiting with great anticipation for the AIDS foundation wedding cake float!

Watching the Rose Parade on with my 86 year old mother in the nursing home today on Hallmark channel. My mother is incapable of perceiving any of the dialog or meaning of any of this, just enjoying the spectacle with a few other elderly residents.
Congrats Aubrey and Danny, and to all other recently-hitched LGBT! I am so glad to see our community breaking into major, nationally covered events. Heaven bless Hallmark channel for covering the float in an appreciative and welcoming manner.

broadcast by stations nation and worldwide, was unfortunately not so "appreciative and welcoming." The announcers in the booth, longtime hosts Bob Eubanks and Stephanie Edwards, wouldn't touch the float with a ten foot pole. That duty fell to a reporter on the ground who gave it a brief description. The vast majority of floats got "oohs" and "aahs" from Bob and Stephanie. They ignored the AIDS Foundation float completely. Their silence spoke volumes. Hope they get an earful.
