She's wearing herself out, too, but she seems to have a lag between body and brain, takes her a loooong time to wind down! I'd forgotten what it was like to have a puppy.

I am very glad of that. She seems really happy to have found you and Bear.

and there are still some tense cat moments, but she's becoming more trusting by leaps and bounds. Did not know about deep belly rubs until yesterday, wouldn't let us roll her on her back to give them. But just about an hour ago she voluntarily gave up her belly for a rub. Adorable!

Good for Honey.

Watching dogs come into an established family is always interesting. There is a perfect blend of assertion and submission. The result is a fully equal seat at the table.

And a secure knowledge that one's head in another's mouth is all in a day's play.

They look so great!

I've experienced too many horrible fights in my life and at the first sign of a possible fight I go all to pieces...almost like panic attacks. I can't take my dog to the local doggie park due to this fear. I tried it once and had to leave...just too stressful!

I'm so glad your doggies were "playing" and establishing dominance and no harm done.
Honey Bear's look so cute together. Good luck! Honey is a lucky dog....God bless her

Play bowing, tails wagging, no hackles raised. It looks a lot worse than it is because of the sharp teeth. Bear was attacked by a dog about two months ago, came running out of a yard with no warning and tore part of his ear. So I certainly know where you're coming from!
