Don't Roof Rack Me, Bro

You can listen to the song at the link. I know there are many (demented IMHO) people who think the whole Seamus incident is dumb, but you know...what kind of person would even think of such a cruel idea? It says a lot about Romney's character. What's that saying...you can judge a society's character by the way it treats its animals....something like that. Anyway...enjoy.

From Eddie's site...

The new wave band Devo (remember Whip It from 1980?) is out with a new song slamming Mitt Romney.

The group just released Don't Roof Rack Me, Bro (Remember Seamus), a song that pays tribute to Seamus Romney, the Irish setter that Romney infamously strapped to the roof of the family station wagon for a 12-hour drive in 1983.

Jerry Casale, one of the band's founding members, wrote the song and joined forces with the the group Dogs Against Romney. He will appear on The Ed Show tonight at 8pET on MSNBC to talk about the song.

Yesterday, he told Rolling Stone magazine that the lyrics are designed to highlight a character flaw of Romney:

Your master's story seems air-tight
But somethin' about him isn't right
He'll say anything to win the race
Wish you could rise up from your grave
And tell the world
How his smile hides
The soul of an angry little man

Casales is right. Roof racking Seamus is a dealbreaker. catbyte Sep 2012 #2
It definitely does show that he has no empathy what-so-ever with other beings. meti57b Sep 2012 #3

Just one among many--well, all his policies are dealbreakers--but this is really bad.

his hair-cutting prep school "prank", guiding one of his professors who was legally blind into a closed door (prep school, too I think), pushing his son's face into a plate of taters (or some other food thing...whipped cream?), and selling a dressage horse who had a history of leg problems by allowing him to be doped up on several pain killers to hide the limp, and for me the evidence is clear. This man has no empathy for other beings, and finds their discomfort amusing. The dog on the roof was really all I needed to hear, but the rest is supportive of my original assessment of this asshat. I really do not like him or his stuffy little wife. I feel badly for her having MS, but that does not excuse her self-centered, entitled attitude. They are a clueless pair, not deserving, nor representative of mainstream American respect and values.
