Friends of Animals is great. In my area it's $35 for a certificate. You can buy it on line and then bring it to a Vet on their list. I recommend that you ask for the list of Vets first, check them out and then choose the best before you buy. You may have a few well regarded Vets on the list. It depends on your area.
It's really good for rescues and TNR groups!

My neighbor can take the light rail there. Our animal rescue is Liberty Humane Society but they stopped doing spay and neuter. I guess it became too expensive for them.

Sometimes we have good ones and sometimes it's a crap shoot.

It's not usually the same as paying full price. They likely won't do "bloods" first so if you friend has recent blood tests from their regular Vet they should bring them along.

I'll make sure to remind him that it is important to give them their shots. (Even if they don't go outside.)
