Related: About this forumI saw a gorgeous dog in the car next to me in the Aldi parking lot the other day.
She looked exactly like an English Cream Golden. The owner was a Chinese lady with a rather heavy accent so I don't know if I heard her right when I asked about her (the dog's) breed she seemed to say it wasn't a Golden but it was an English something that had two or three syllables. Could a rather fluffy blonde dog that looks like a Golden Retriever in face and body be another breed?

(15,805 posts)My cousin has always kept a couple of English Setter litter mates. They are beautiful dogs and have a luxurious, mostly white or pale cream coat. Some have just a little colored freckling showing on their face and legs, others have more dense patterns of colored speckling.

(16,887 posts)We had one when I was a kid. Now we have a Creamdoodle - Mother was an English Cream and father a white mini poodle (dont ask - clearly assisted). But the dog is the sweetest and most beautiful doodle and practically white with a light golden brown touch in some spots - my kids call the color toasted marshmallow
Smart and sweet dog

(16,375 posts)It sounded like she might have been saying Pyrenees but Great Pyrenees are huge and this one has the beautiful face a
nd size of a Golden. Maybe a mix?

(15 posts)Hi- that is most likely a Golden Retriever. The Golden Retriever Club of America....defines the Golden Retriever standard on color as anything from almost white to dark amber (red.) Color is genetically based.
English Goldens are much lighter than their American counterparts. While a small percentage of American Goldens are 1st gen pups of English imports, the number of light pups being sold under the "English Creme" moniker is much larger. Why? Money-period.
Unlikely that dog is a Pyrenees - facial characteristics don't match, IMO. The only way to know with certainty is a genetic breed test. Not a Setter body type. Lovely doggo!
